A Fish Hears With Its Body
Fish have no ears on the outside, but they can hear. Sound passes through the water and makes their body and swim bladder, a special organ inside, vibrate. These vibrations go to the inner ear, and the fish feels the sound. That is how it senses footsteps on the shore or the splash of another fish. Sound comes to you through your ear, but to a fish it comes through the whole body.
