Light and Shadow — cards for kids
12 cards: a picture, a short story and audio
Why Your Shadow Copies You
A shadow is a place where light didn't reach, because you stepped into its way. Light travels straight, like a stick, and can't bend around you. So a dark shape is left on the ground, exactly like you, only flat, like a drawing on the pavement. If you raise your arm, your shadow raises its arm at the same moment, because light has no time to wait.
