A Warm Floor
The floor in a yurt is the ground, but rugs and animal skins are laid on it. Under them the ground warms up from the fire and keeps the warmth, like a warm stove. It is nice to walk on a floor like that, like on a rug in the living room. And if you spread a skin, it is soft to lie on, like a pillow.
